Route Poiana Pleașa – Peak Albina

For a memorable adventure, we invite you to start the route right in front of Posada Vidraru Hotel. It is a trip of medium difficulty, suitable for any time of the year. You have two options: you can explore the entire route, or you can choose to stop at the beautiful Poiana Pleașa, where you will have an incredible panoramic view of the Făgăraș Mountains, Vidraru Lake, the Argeș Valley, and Poenari Fortress.

The route offers two options:

  1. Posada Vidraru Hotel – Poiana Pleașa – Albina Peak, returning on the same route;
  2. Posada Vidraru Hotel – Poiana Pleașa – Albina Peak, then descent to Căpățâneni Ungureni, very close to Poiana Mucenicului.

From Poiana Pleașa, you start climbing the mountain. The route is marked with red triangles, but don’t forget to have a map with you and check the weather conditions before you depart. You will pass through forests and paths, and as you climb into the higher area of ​​the Făgăraș Mountains, the route can become more demanding.

To help you orient yourself better, here are some intermediate times:

  • Posada Vidraru Hotel – Poiana Pleașa: approximately 1 hour;
  • Poiana Pleașa – Albina Peak: approximately 1 hour;
  • Albina Peak – Căpățânenii Ungureni: approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Albina Mountain stretches between the Argeș River and the Limpedea River, offering on Albina Peak the highest altitude of 1371 m.
